Available at your local Woolworths store from August 26th.
The big Disney+ Ooshies event is happening in just five short days, and since we don’t know the full list of characters yet available to snag, I thought it be a lot of fun to speculate which character you could receive for every $30 you spend at your local Woolworths store. I’ll admit, today’s a slow news day!
What we do know is that there are 36 characters in total ranging from Disney’s most popular brands – Disney, Marvel, Pixar and Star Wars. There will be an even split of 9 characters among the four brands and thanks to some image postings, we know at least 4 of them with a possible 6 already known thanks to the image of the Woolworths collectible box (seen below) and the television commercial featuring Thor (seen above).
My Predictions:
I’ll divide my speculation among the four different brands. I will say, this is tough, especially for Pixar and Disney branded characters, which the Disney brand will most likely only utilize Walt Disney Animation Studios characters, since they have so many iconic legacy characters they could choose, but they could just go the easy route and choose the newer more recent characters, with the exception of some legacy characters whose films have had recent sequels like Woody from Toy Story 4 (Woody always looks the same, other than a ripped arm) or the more apparent Frozen II Elsa designed Osohie (seen below).

Watch me be completely wrong with my predictions above, but this was fun thinking about which characters they could end up using.
I ended up going with Marvel’s most popular heroes, with the notable exception for Spider-Man only because they only have the crossover Spidey films and not the solo films since they are owned by Sony Pictures. For the Disney, Pixar and Star Wars ones I went with their most recent characters. I’d be surprised if they even feature any legacy characters like Rapunzel, Sulley or Luke Skywalker, but one can hope.

These Disney+ Ooshies will start at your local Woolworths supermarkets from August 26th, with the sole exception being Victoria due to COVID-19 lockdowns. But don’t worry Victorians, Woolworths have stated these cute little Ooshies will come to your state, albeit at a delayed launch later this year.
