Home Media: ‘Piglet’s Big Movie’, ‘Pooh’s Grand Adventure’ & more coming to Blu-ray for the first time

Disney has updated their Disney Movie Club (DMC) website to include new titles, coming to Blu-ray for the very first time.

Two Winnie the Pooh titles will be joining the Pooh bear Blu-ray collection. The first one is the theatrically released Piglet’s Big Movie (originally released in 2003), with the second title being the first direct-to-video Winnie the Pooh title Pooh’s Grand Adventure: The Search for Christopher Robin (originally released in 1997). Both films will be available to purchase as DMC exclusives on July 17th.

The last title is a bit of a weird inclusion among the Winnie the Pooh titles, but those who are collecting the live-action Disney catalog titles should easily be glad that another one is coming. The 1985 film The Journey of Natty Gann, a title that I really haven’t heard of before, starring a young Meredith Salenger and John Cusack. However, unlike the Winnie the Pooh titles, no release date has been provided as of publication.

However, for Australians waiting on these titles, don’t get too excited, as these three titles are only part of the DMC service in America. Prior titles part of the DMC haven’t been made available to Australian stores, causing frustration for many, as the only exceptions made were the Aladdin sequels.
